Vito & Vera is a food and beverage business from Little Rock, Arkansas and they offer a meal delivery service that has a "plant forward" menu. The owner, Alicia Watson, had just won first place on the Food Network competition show "The Big Restaurant Bet" so naturally she wanted a fresh rebrand. Her primary instruction for this project was to design a brand that didn't emulate other plant forward businesses but still fit in a counter culture space.

Since the client wanted a counter culture feel, inspiration was taken from the punk music movement of the 1970's. The hand crafted aesthetic of band logos and gig posters was a huge influence on the design. The inspiration to design a logo that felt handmade is what eventually led to the creation of a custom titling font that would serve as the foundation for the brand.
After the word mark was approved, the client urged to push the design to lean even more into the punk rock aesthetic. This was accomplished by creating a color palette that was influenced by punk artwork as well as tape, paper tears, and grunge textures throughout the branding.
